Tyson is 9 MONTHS OLD. Oh my gosh I just cant believe it. These months have gone so stinkin fast. But I am loving this age...well most of the time. He is so much fun and super funny! Although he is suddenly extremly clingy- he is at my feet non stop and crawls up my legs until I pick him up. His likes: to explore anywhere and everywhere he can get to- he even tried to crawl under the couch, taking a bath, he splashes like crazy- I usually come out of there just as wet as he is! He loves to "talk" and scream and squeel and grunt and make all kinds of noises. He loves attention. His dislikes: when he gets something taken from him that he shouldnt have, when he gets left on the floor when he wants held, going down for a nap when he would rather play!

Nana and Papa
My parents were here visiting last week. They are very busy people- always on the go. They are always going on trips for work, building something at home, out riding their bikes, going hiking or working with their new horse. They're even taking classes at UW- and not just one class here or there- my Dad is finishing up his Batchelors in teaching History! I dont know how they fit it all in...or sleep for that matter. So when they come to visit I feel like we always need to be doing something- even though we are pretty "hang around the house" kinda people when its chilly. But this time when I would ask my Dad what they wanted to do that day, his answer always included some TV watching, a nap or just lazy time!! I think they have worn themselves out!! We did have a lot of fun though-lazy and busy times. They babysat Tyson (first time we left him with anyone!) while we went on a date! We took them to Costco and they bought almost more than we did...and we were stocking our shelves! And we went to Virgina City! My mom was afraid that Tyson wouldnt want her to hold him and would cry when she would pick him up- but I dont think there was a single time that he cried while either her or my Dad were holding him. He really loved his Nana and Papa visiting!!

Im lovin' the madness
Im enjoying March madness...not just because I enjoy watching basketball but because I have an excuse to sit and relax most of the day while the guys watch basketball. I put together a bracket and record my win/losses but mostly I just like my husband being home for a couple of days and the relaxation. Yesterday I even got to go to the store BY MYESLEF while Tyson was napping! That has never happened-and it was really nice! I do wish the wind would stop blowing so much so we could go outside and not be stuck inside all day.
I dont enjoy March madness...because all the snacks and junk food are brought out and I somehow justify the fact that I stuff my face all week. I will probably continue to do this every year but starting Monday there is no more junk food entering this body...until next March. OKAY your right thats a lie! But I will try my hardest to keep it minimal!
Im enjoying March madness...because Kurt is happy! His best friends is down to continue their tradition of watching games all day everday for 4 days. In college they would take "snow days" and stay home from class to watch the games- and 10 years later they still have those snow days- but now its a break from careers and crazy life, not from class. It is hard to find anyone who enjoys sports as much as my Kurto- but Matt does and when they get together it gets a little crazy. But Im glad he has such a great friend who he can enjoy it with.

Tyson Grady
I havent posted about Tyson lately and so here we go!
He is 8 months old now and is a crazy boy. He has his two front teeth in which are very sharp and have made him a very cranky boy. Did I say very?? I mean V-E-R-Y. I thought tantrums didnt start til way later but he throws himself backward, screams and if I set him down OH MAN he screams even louder. But when he calms down and smiles and plays with me- I completely forget about that strange boy before. He loves to bang on the entertainment center, pull speaker wires, eat things he finds on the floor, shake his head no...all the things he's not suppose to do!! He responds to his name...except for when he is doing something he is not suppose to do. I swear he understands that he is not suppose to bang on the tv but when we are not looking he crawls super fast over to it and has a huge smile on his face. He has quite the personality. He is sleeping a TON better although he has his nights of waking up numerous times but for the most part he sleeps until about 430 for one feeding. He loves eating banana puffs, likes his sippy cup and thinks any cup he see's is his and gets upset that another kid is drinking from it. He loves to play with other babies and touch their faces and pull their hair- I think he's just exploring.

My throat hurts
My husband and I ALWAYS share sicknesses. But a few weeks back Kurt got reeeaaallly sick with a pretty bad cold and I had yet to see any symptoms come my way. I was really good; I didnt use his chapstick, I didnt drink from the same cup as him and I even tried to kiss him on the cheek instead of the lips...as much as possible! But come on- who are we kidding! There is only so much you can do when your married to keep germs to yourself! I really-honestly-no lie thought that I was lucky and didnt get it..but today my throat is on fire, my ears and head are feeling heavy AND now Tyson has a very runny nose. Looks like not only did I get it but Im pretty sure Tyson has it too. Not good timing since my parents will be here in less than 72 hours :( Stupid germs. But lucky me- our new TV will be here any minute so I guess I'll just have to lay down and enjoy all 60inches of it until friday night...so I call feel better for our company! Guess thats what I HAVE to do (wink*wink)

Im in Love
My oldest brother recently got engaged and will be getting married in June. I am so excited for them and cant wait to see my brother happily married! He is an amazing gentleman and deserves the very best in life. He put his life on hold for more than 10 years while he served our country and fought for the freedoms so many of us take for granted. I am so proud of you big brother and so excited for the new adventures to come your way!
The exciting news has made me reminisce when Kurt and I got engaged..AHHH:) I knew Kurt was a great man and would treat me right but he has blown right past my dreams of how married life would be! We never went through that hard "first year of marriage" phase. I have never questioned my decision to marry him and thank my Heavenly Father every day for putting him in my life. He is a hard working husband and father who supports our family so that I can stay home and raise our children. He loves me and always shows me that he does, whether its in a big way or in little things like buying me a new movie that I had mention was my all time favorite(Beauty and the Beast!) He wants me to be happy and can always dry my tears. He is the love of my life and the man of my dreams that I never thought I would be worthy of. I am so thankful for the blessings of a Temple marriage and that I can be rest assured that no matter what happens we are an eternal family and will not be parted at death. I am so happy! We get each other and our little quirks and silly sense of humor link us together. I love you Kurt and I hope YOU know how much I appreciate YOU and all YOU do for our family. Thank you for giving us a nice home to stay warm in, reliable cars to travel in and the "toys" that we get to enjoy!! Thank you for all your hard work so that we can have these nice things. And thank you for loving me.
Big brother- I hope that you and your new wife find all the happiness that Kurt and I have found and more.
