Turn signal

On my way to church on Sunday, I sat at a red light waiting to turn left. There was no cd in the cd player, no music playing on the radio like usual. This time the only thing to hear was the ticking of my blinker. It sounded different and I started to wonder if my bulb was going to die. I then realized the reason it sounded different was because I hadn't heard it in a very long time. On our drives in the car, Tyson and I always have music playing, even on sundays we listen to church music on our 6 minute drive to the church building. At home I have the tv on just for background noise even when I have no idea what is on or what the people are even saying. I haven't liked the quite in the past but on Sunday I smiled as I heard nothing but my blinker. I think I will make time each day for more of these quite moments. No tv, no radio. Just me and my thoughts.

  1. I love the quiet! I think it comes with time. I love my drives alone, cuz that is some of my only quiet time. Even Nathan who used to think I was crazy, he always has to have something on, is starting to enjoy the quiet on his drives home from work. It's good to "unplug" once in a while especially when you have kids making noise all around you :)
